Rustic Modern Nursery Design

December 31, 2009

Joel Dewberry bedding set

Feast your eyes on this stunning nursery set!  I recently completed this custom bedding order using prints from Joel Dewberry’s Deer Valley collection.   My client’s request at our design consultation was a gender neutral bedding set that would compliment the existing colors and decor  in her Victorian Village home.   After reviewing colors & swatches and going over style details, we  landed on this “Lodge Chic” theme.  It is a wonderful mix of rustic patterns and urban contemporary colors.  Definitely not something you would find in the bedding aisle at Babies R Us!

The Celadon and Terra Cotta colors really stand out against the neutral backdrop & look so rich paired with the dark wood of the crib and flooring.   The set includes a 10″ bumper with a contrast rolled edge, fitted sheet, crib skirt with double pleats, a blanket w/ soft chenille backing  & a round decorative pillow.  Across the room is her changing table with a matching 2 piece changing pad cover. changing pad cover

Certainly not your traditional nursery but one that is worthy of a magazine shoot.  (Better Homes and Gardens please see my contact info below!)  Thank you so much Amber for sharing these pics with me!  I am thrilled to see the final look.
