Petit Martinique Collection by Lottie Da

July 1, 2010

Here is a preview of my new Petit Martinique collection (in-store mid July).  It was inspired by the French Caribbean Islands (and the trend research trip to St. Tropez I sadly never got to take while working in the fashion industry lol! ).   The fabrics are from Jennifer Paganelli’s St. Croix collection which feature traditional french toiles, elegant paisley florals, and modern geometric prints.   Her color palate mixes fuchsia pinks with warm brown, and cool ocean shades of blue and jade green.   These designs feature simple silhouettes with modern frill details.   The patterns are mixed in the Lottie Da whimsical way and the shirred ruffle is the key design detail throughout the collection.   These styles were designed to transition into Fall.   The skirt set can be ordered short sleeve or long sleeve and the dresses look great layered with leggings and boots when the weather starts to change.

Obviously an exotic location was not in the budget for the photo shoot so we used Lauryn Byrdy Photography’s brand new studio instead!  I’m sure you’ll agree that these pictures turned out amazing!   Our little models (who are all Lottie Da customers) did such a great job!   Sydney, Lucia, Lottie and Charlotte spent the entire time running through the studio, dancing, climbing on Lauryn’s furniture and rolling around on her fabulous rug.   It was so much fun to watch!  We left the place in a bit of a wreck complete with fingertip smudges all over the mirrors!

Like what you see?  I love to hear feedback and remember I’m always flexible with customizing the style and fabric to your specific taste.   I’m in the process of adding the collection to my Etsy online store.  You can see more specific info on prices and sizing there.  You can also call me to pre-order if you would like or visit the store in person to see these designs and more!

For more of Lauryn’s photography check out her blog. and stay tuned for her super cool website that’s in the works!

Thank you to all of the models and their mommies and daddies and also of course to Lauryn for the amazing pics!
